I have been custom building wheels since I was 13...so that's 40 years when I had my first bike shop in my parent's basement. Local riders as well as Tour de France champions have tested my craftsmanship to the limits. My customers demand wheels with strength that are unique to their riding style. Hubs
Chris King makes some of the best hubs around and is our favorite for building a custom wheel set. The come in many colors from Black to Mango and even Pink. They offer road and mountain versions with spoke drilling from 20 to 36 holes, disk on standard.
Shimano offers a range of road and mountain hubs that will accommodate a variety of budgets.
Rims
For custom wheel building we offer Reynolds carbon rims. 2017 models are tubeless. Recommended 20 and 24 hole drillings.
I can explain the pros and cons of a tubeless road setup. We have many recommendations to make your ride experience as enjoyable and safe as possible.
Stans Alpha 400 is a great tubeless compatible road rim. Great for daily riding when paired up with Chris King R45 road hubs. Recommended 28 or 32 hole drillings.
The Hed Belgium Plus rim is our choice for a strong build using the 25mm wide rim. Recommended 28 or 32h drillings.
Custom Bikes
When a stock bike just doesn't fit your body dimensions , we create custom sized bikes from Waterford and Moots. For sizing we use the Waterford Fit Cycle in combination with your current bike. Again we have over 40 years experience in fitting your bike correctly.
